How to make rainbow frosted cupcakes

Who doesn't love rainbows? They appear after the rain when the sun starts peeking through and bring some cheer and happiness because of how colourful they are. It is also a great theme for kiddies birthday parties.

Over the weekend I made some cupcakes for my friend's niece's birthday party and used a simple trick to get the rainbow effect with my frosting.

Check out my how to video below, which shows you how to create the rainbow effect and then I demonstrate how to pipe roses with the Wilton 2D nozzle. I used my regular red velvet recipe with a cream cheese frosting (check my YouTube channel for it).

Catch sunset on Kloof Corner
